A global automotive supplier ranking within the top ten was embarking on an ambitious project of developing innovative solutions for Sustainable Mobility and the “Cockpit of the future”. Their systems were delivering a long response time, thus hampering their progress.

SK team was contracted to examine the issues and improve the performance. We found that the application was still using a very old version of the database - MY SQL 5.5 Enterprise edition. This was the bottleneck and needed to be upgraded to the latest version. This was quite a delicate task and needed deep expertise. Our team was able to execute the database upgrade to MYSQL 8.0 Enterprise edition successfully.

Not only did the application performance improve significantly due to performance enhancement in the database, but the exercise also rendered the database environment more secure.
